“Being on the light side we can see the rose, contemplate it, remove its leaves and even sketch it over and over again on our easel… Thinking of this, the traveler set off, managing to reach the clouds, and birds, and everything he wanted; he wanted to bring his colors to the shadows world. So, he created the blue with his hands and made it palpable to those who lived in complete darkness. It was thus that his eyes were opened and what they imagined with his heart was now real and luminous.”

The Art Project, “Otras Miradas”, has inaugurated Three Art Exhibitions :
Proverbios (october-2010/ Santa Clara. Cuba), Sea la Luz (may- 2011/ La Habana. Cuba) and “Otras Miradas” (december- 2012/ Barcelona. Spain).

Estando del lado de la luz podemos ver la rosa, contemplarla, deshojarla y hasta esbozarla una y otra vez en nuestro caballete.
Pensando en esto se puso en marcha el caminante, y logrando alcanzar las nubes, y los pájaros y todo cuanto deseara; quiso llevar sus colores al mundo de las sombras. Entonces, formó el azul con sus manos y lo hizo palpable para aquellos que vivían en oscuridad completa. Fue así que fueron abiertos sus ojos y aquello que imaginaban con su corazón, ahora era real y luminoso.
II. Mundo de Sombras.
Cuando todo es oscuro, y no logras distinguir los brazos que te cubren, resulta ficticio e inalcanzable hablar de arte pictórico. Ignorando que con solo activar el sentido del tacto sobre superficies que hablan; la fantasía infinita comienza a volar y a crear sueños.
Formar espejismos en medio de este desierto hosco es nuestro principal objetivo.
Erigir la inmensidad subjetiva del color mediante las formas y el sistema de escritura en braille.
Otras Miradas. El proyecto consiste en la realización de varias muestras expositivas de pinturas, que dentro de sus composiciones insertan el sistema braille. Las obras versan sobre la importancia dela Palabra en sí, ésta como generador de ideas y orden que dio origen a todas las cosas. Las piezas trasmiten la relación entre textos y objetos que motivan emociones asociadas a hechos transcurridos.
Trasladando así, al invidente –espectador a un éxtasis mágico donde el color muta en sentimientos y texturas.
Las obras traen sobre sí todo un universo de detalles, donde la Palabraen braille funciona como creador de emociones positivas sobre aquel que no puede ver, convirtiéndose la obra de arte en ejercicio terapéutico, levantando la autoestima y el desarrollo psicosocial, puesto que lo más importante y primero es la palabra, el dulce consejo a tiempo, y la habilidad de captar la sensaciones de los segundos que se suceden.
Estas pinturas tienen como resultado el acercamiento del invidente al color, ya que revelan la dualidad existente entre las sensaciones emotivas y los colores, remitiéndonos en algunas ocasiones, al verso del poeta José Miguel Ramos, quien en su adolescencia deseaba ser pintor y debido a la pérdida de su visión le fue impedido este sueño. Así que esta vez es renovado este anhelo, puesto que aquellos poemas que quisieron ser trazos pictóricos en algún momento ahora son realidad.
Al mismo tiempo, la música como catalizador de emociones será el sello perfecto para un ambiente mágico. Es así, que enla MuestraExpositivaconfluirán las piezas musicales de Ailyn Finalet y Yusmany Risquet, con un título que les une: “Corcheas al Color”. Serán dos visiones diferentes de los matices; una desde la visión ocular y otro desde el tacto háptico. Será el resultado de crear con música su propio azul o rojo, a partir de emociones sentidas luego del acercamiento a la obra plástica.
Así que como resultado de este encuentro surge la serie “Pentagramas”, donde la partitura en braille creada por Yusmany Risquet toma vida a través del color. Donde cada color corresponde a una melodía.
Además este proyecto logra confluir la obra del artista ciego Mario Ernesto Romero, quien en su adultez y justo cuando su obra plástica llegaba al clímax de su satisfacción, queda totalmente ciego. Sin embargo después de varios años experimenta nuevamente el encuentro con la pintura, auxiliándose del Sistema de Creación plástica: Dactil-Art, que le ayudará a determinar su dibujo previo. Es así que llega a sentir las mismas emociones que trasmite la plástica cuando se lleva dentro y consigue hacer trazos muy similares a los que lograba cuando su débil visión se lo permitía.
Este experimento o acto de llevar las artes plásticas a los invidentes a través de este Sistema se repite con los jóvenes ciegos: George Orta y Michel Abreu.
Estos logran recordar perfectamente el ejercicio pictórico que les divertía en su niñez cuando aún hacían uso de sus órganos visuales. Resultando sus trazos de color en “fantasías de infantes”, que denotan deseos por la pintura en sí, disfrutándola e identificándose con ella.

Blind Artists who participated in the Project
Yusmany Risquet (blind). Musician, composer and singer. He expresses the colors through the music he composes, that is to say, he creates scores to the colors inspired by the impressions felt through the pictorial works exhibited in the exhibition Proverbs. The project “Otras Miradas” opened for this young man a door to the world of color, as he himself has expressed. He obtains several national prizes in the interpretation of his own subjects, such as the First Prize at the Festival of the National Association of the blind and visually impaired (ANCI) 2011

José Miguel Ramos (Blind.) He dreamed of being a painter, but at the age of 13 loses eye sight. So he begins to dump all his lyricism in poetry and to find his pictorial world in the verses. The “Otras Miradas” Project is a way to realize his dream of painting, because the rhymes that in his heart existed as strokes, are now a reality on the canvas painted by other hands. He has received national and international prizes in poetry, such as: 2nd prize in the Tiflos contest (Spain), 1st place in the contest organized by the Latin American Blind Union (Uruguay). He also wrote an Anecdotes’ Booklet that was awarded in the contest “Humor para ciegos “, (Spain).
